ICE Arrests Wanted Indian Immigrant With Terror Allegations

ICE arrests illegal immigrant with alleged terror ties in California, one of the most wanted men in India News

Exclusive Report: Wanted Fugitive Linked to Terrorism Apprehended in United States

Fox News has obtained exclusive information regarding the arrest of Harpreet Singh, an Indian national currently designated as one of his country’s most pursued fugitives due to accusations of involvement in terrorist activities. Mr. Singh is facing charges stemming from multiple alleged attacks against law enforcement officials.

Last week, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents took custody of Mr. Singh following a coordinated operation.

The individual’s journey into the United States began on January 27, 2022, when he entered the country illegally via Arizona. A U.S. Border Patrol agent from Tucson’s sector apprehended him and initiated removal proceedings. Despite this initial action, Mr. Singh was subsequently released within the interior of the nation.

Subsequently, on April 16th in Sacramento, California, ICE agents made an arrest, placing Mr. Singh in their custody as immigration proceedings continue. “The Biden Administration not only allowed a wanted terrorist into our country, but after he was arrested by Border Patrol agents, they released him into the interior of our country,” stated Tricia McLaughlin, Homeland Security assistant secretary for public affairs.

She continued, “While this situation is deeply concerning, it reflects a broader trend within the current administration’s approach to immigration. The routine release of individuals with questionable backgrounds – including potential terrorists and criminals – poses a significant risk to American communities.”

“Under President Trump and Secretary Noem’s leadership, ICE is strategically deployed to remove violent criminals from our streets and dismantle practices that have enabled impunity,” McLaughlin asserted.

Singh’s Alleged Activities:

  • Mr. Singh is a primary target of Indian authorities due to his suspected connections with Babbar Khalsa International (BKI), a foreign terrorist organization established in the 1970s.
  • He stands accused of facilitating financial support for terrorist operations, recruiting individuals, and orchestrating coordinated attacks, including an assault on an Indian Police Station and a targeted attack on the home of a retired Punjab police officer – both with the explicit intention of causing harm and instilling fear within law enforcement.
  • Furthermore, Mr. Singh faces charges related to multiple instances of violent extortion and threats perpetrated in India.

According to sources within the Indian Intelligence Bureau, Harpreet Singh is considered a key figure in a transnational terror network directly linked to Harwinder Singh Rinda, a notorious member of Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) operating from Pakistan. BKI has been designated as a foreign terrorist organization by the United States.

The ongoing investigation highlights a serious national security concern and underscores the efforts being undertaken by U.S. law enforcement to combat transnational terrorism.
