British Businessman’s Widow Inherits Fortune Following Conversion

The sudden passing of a British businessman while vacationing in Morocco has triggered a complex legal and emotional fallout involving his family and his widow. Allen McKenna, 47, died unexpectedly, leaving behind unanswered questions and a significant inheritance for his wife.

Allen’s family is seeking clarity surrounding the circumstances of his death and the location of his remains. His father, Alan Moorhead, expressed profound grief and frustration, stating he received a concerning call from McKenna’s girlfriend, Majda Mjaoual, 25, on February 22nd, during which Mr. McKenna’s body was visible in the background.

Mjaoual claims that Allen died of a heart attack and subsequently buried his body two days later. However, she has reportedly refused to disclose the burial site, leaving the family in a state of uncertainty.

  • The couple had been together for seven years, initially meeting in 2017 and marrying sometime thereafter.
  • They resided first in London before relocating to Harrogate.

According to Mjaoual, the death is a “personal matter,” and she accuses Moorhead of “harassing” her. She stated that she had invited Moorhead to travel to Morocco following Allen’s passing, but he declined.

A close friend revealed that McKenna converted to Islam prior to his wedding—a decision Moorhead reportedly opposed. The friend added: “Allen’s conversion really rankled with his dad, and this is what has caused all the problems. He’s been threatening her and accusing her of all sorts.” The friend also indicated that Mr. McKenna had been hospitalized for several weeks before his death.

Authorities have confirmed the event; a death certificate signed by forensic medicine specialist Dr. Abdelilah Lekbiri, dated one day after the family arrived in Casablanca, has reportedly been obtained. The document details Mr. McKenna’s passing.

“It’s soul destroying. I don’t know where to move, I don’t know what to do. He deserves better. He deserves to come back here to South Australia and then all the family can have closure. It’s just unbelievable. She’s not answering any messages, phone calls, texts – nothing. I just want my lad back.” – Alan Moorhead

The Foreign Office has confirmed they are providing support to Allen’s family and maintaining contact with Moroccan authorities.

Investigations into the circumstances surrounding McKenna’s death are underway, involving North Yorkshire Police, Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs, and Interpol. Furthermore, it is understood that due to the conversion to Islam, McKenna’s estate has been transferred entirely to his widow.
