Amanda Owen on Time Concerns

Amanda Owen admits 'not enough time' as she shares poignant family update ahead of new series Family

Amanda Owen, star of Our Yorkshire Farm, recently shared a glimpse into life at Ravenseat Farm, reflecting on the constant activity within her bustling family.

Posting a series of photos to Instagram showcasing her nine children actively involved in farm duties – alongside some cheerful selfies with their mother – Amanda expressed how challenging it is to adequately describe the ongoing events. “It’s just full-on action with the team,” she wrote, adding the hashtags #positive #farm #yorkshire #outside #countryside #lambing #shepherdess #yorkshire.

Fans of the Owen family will be delighted to know that a second series of Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive and Kids has been officially scheduled.

The popular show returns next week, once again following Amanda and Clive as they navigate life with their children while continuing the ambitious renovation of Anty John’s, their historic farmhouse nestled in the Yorkshire Dales.

This 200-year-old property, located near Ravenseat Farm in Swaledale, has been undergoing a significant transformation since the series first aired last year. The comments on Amanda’s post were filled with admiration for her children’s rapid growth.

“Growing up so fast… it’s been so lovely watching your beautiful family grow.”

Other fans echoed this sentiment, noting:

  • “They all seem to be enjoying the action. Can’t wait to see it back again.”
  • “Team Ravenseat always hands on deck when needed.”
  • “Lovely pictures. all the children are growing up so quickly.”

Many simply shared their appreciation for the “beautiful family,” highlighting how quickly the children were maturing.

The new series promises to showcase a year’s worth of progress on the renovation, with production company Wise Owl Films releasing a teaser revealing significant advancements including the installation of electricity at Anty John’s. The episodes, beginning Tuesday, April 29 at 9pm on More4, will chronicle the family’s journey through all seasons, from summer to spring.

In the trailer, Amanda acknowledged the considerable work still ahead: “We have made great strides but we’re a long way from finishing yet.” Clive highlighted the “extreme” weather conditions they’ve faced, including heavy snow and persistent rainfall. Amanda admitted it has “been tough going.”

Ultimately, Amanda shared her aspirations for her children’s involvement in the project:

“What I want for these children is for them to be able to look back and be able to say ‘we did that.'”
