A recent vacation for the Radford family took an unexpected turn when Millie Radford and two of her children were unexpectedly denied boarding their flight to America on Sunday.
Millie, along with her children Ophelia and Chester, were separated from the rest of the family at Gatwick Airport. While her mother, Sue Radford, and daughter Elodie boarded the plane as scheduled, Millie and her two older children faced a frustrating situation due to expired Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) documents – a necessary travel permit for visitors to the United States without a visa.
Millie documented the ordeal on her Instagram Story. One post showed her son Chester playing with toys, accompanied by the caption: “So glad he doesn’t understand this disaster we are having,” along with crying emojis.
She later explained the situation, writing: “Guys let this be your reminder to double check your ESTA because mine, Chester and Ophelia’s had [run] out and we [were] rejected being allowed on our flight today to America, and Harley and Elodie [were] able to get onto the flight.”
The family managed to resolve the issue by reapplying for the necessary authorizations. Millie shared: “Luckily we have re-applied and they have all come back in time for us to fly tomorrow. My dad has stayed to help me thank god because we’ve had to travel hours to another airport from Gatwick.”
Sue Radford subsequently posted a photo of Elodie on board the plane, writing: “I’m fine mummy don’t worry I was such a [good] girl on the flight.” Sue added: “My little princess. Super nan.”
This latest incident follows another recent health scare involving Millie’s husband, Harley Passmore.
Passmore initially received a diagnosis of Bell’s palsy, but his condition unexpectedly worsened last week when he experienced numbness and weakness in his arm and leg. He was promptly admitted to the hospital for evaluation, where doctors ruled out a mini-stroke following an MRI scan.
“They said that bell palsy shouldn’t go to your body so they thought I had a mini stroke,” Passmore wrote on social media.
Passmore expressed his relief at avoiding a stroke and confirmed he was “glad to be back to normal.”
The Radford family, known for their frequent trips abroad – often to Disney World in Florida – have previously defended their travel habits, emphasizing that they self-fund all of their vacations.
- Millie’s ESTA and those of her children Ophelia and Chester had expired.
- The Radfords were forced to relocate to a different airport to resolve the issue.
- Harley Passmore experienced a health scare, initially diagnosed with Bell’s palsy before being assessed for a potential stroke.
Despite these challenges, the Radford family continues to navigate their large-scale travels and share their experiences with fans.
