Ronaldo, 40, Begins New Era

Cristiano Ronaldo and acclaimed director Matthew Vaughn are joining forces to create UR Marv, a new film studio poised to enter the cinematic landscape.

Ronaldo announced this exciting venture while speaking with *Variety*, describing it as “an exciting chapter” in his ongoing business endeavors. The studio’s philosophy blends cutting-edge technology with established filmmaking traditions. Currently, two action films are completed and a third is already underway, with further details about the initial project forthcoming.

“This is an exciting chapter for me, as I look ahead to new ventures in business,” Ronaldo stated.

Vaughn, known for his work on iconic films like *Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels*, *X-Men: First Class*, the *Kingsman* series, and *Argylle*, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration. “Cristiano has created stories on the pitch that I could never have written, and I look forward to creating inspiring movies with him,” he remarked. “He’s a real-life superhero.”

The announcement arrives amidst speculation surrounding Ronaldo’s future with Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia. After leaving Manchester United in 2022, the prolific scorer has maintained impressive form, accumulating 94 goals from 104 appearances in the Middle East. However, Al-Nassr’s failure to qualify for the expanded Club World Cup has fueled rumors of a potential departure.

Several clubs are reportedly interested in securing Ronaldo’s services. Manchester City, who previously sought to acquire him in 2021 before he ultimately returned to Manchester United following interventions from figures like Sir Alex Ferguson, Rio Ferdinand and Patrice Evra, are among the contenders. With Erling Haaland’s fitness uncertain ahead of the Club World Cup, City might consider a short-term loan agreement for Ronaldo as reinforcement.

Chelsea has also been linked to the Portuguese icon, although no formal offer has yet been made. Additionally, Inter Miami, owned by David Beckham, is considered a potential destination, which would create an unprecedented pairing with Lionel Messi.
