A scheduled Carlos Santana concert in San Antonio, Texas, was unexpectedly cancelled on Tuesday evening. According to a statement released by his publicist, Michael Jensen of Jensen Communications, the postponement stemmed from an incident involving the musician’s health.
“I must share some difficult news,” Jensen stated. “Carlos was at the Majestic Theatre preparing for tonight’s performance when he began experiencing symptoms consistent with severe dehydration. Medical personnel determined it was necessary to take him in for observation as a precautionary measure, prioritizing his well-being above all else.
“Given Mr. Santana’s health and the desire to ensure a safe and successful showgoing experience for everyone involved,” Jensen continued, “postponing the performance was deemed the safest and most responsible decision.”
“He is currently recovering comfortably and remains eager to return to San Antonio and continue his ongoing tour,” he added. “We deeply appreciate your patience and understanding as we work towards rescheduling the concert. Details regarding the rescheduled date will be announced in due course.”
