Serving Met Police officer charged with four counts of rape Crime

A police officer with the Metropolitan Police Service faces serious criminal charges following an internal investigation.

PC Dion Arnold, assigned to the South West Command Unit, has been formally charged with several sexual offenses. These include four counts of rape, two counts of assault by penetration, and a single charge of sexual assault. The charges stem from an inquiry conducted by Surrey Police.

Arnold was taken into custody on March 29th and subsequently appeared before Guildford Magistrates’ Court on March 31st. He has been remanded in custody pending further proceedings. His next court appearance is scheduled for May 1 at Guildford Crown Court.

As stated by the Metropolitan Police:

“The allegations relate to a report received earlier this year, and concern conduct that occurred while PC Dion Arnold was not on duty.”

The Met’s Directorate of Professional Standards has been notified, and PC Arnold is currently suspended from his duties.
