Growing Concerns Over Vulnerability to Fraud
While the shift to digital banking offers convenience, experts are raising concerns about increased vulnerability to fraud, particularly among older generations. “Older generations are being pushed towards online banking without enough safeguards in place,” said Siobhan Blagbrough, a financial crime manager at Ocean Finance. “In the past year alone, 75,400 older Brits fell victim to cybercrime or fraud.”
This highlights the importance of robust security measures and ongoing support for customers navigating the transition to digital banking services.
