Former Prime Minister Boris Johnson encountered an unexpected adversary during a recent family outing to a Texas safari park, according to multiple accounts.
While accustomed to verbal challenges from journalists and political opponents, this particular confrontation involved a far more unusual foe: an ostrich standing over seven feet tall and possessing formidable four-inch claws.
Johnson’s wife, Carrie, documented the incident on Instagram, sharing a video that depicted the former leader with his family inside a vehicle. The clip shows Johnson extending his hand from the car window, seemingly attempting to interact with the large bird as one of his children peered out beside him.
The ostrich then swiftly moved its head into the vehicle and appeared to bite Johnson, potentially on his hand. His reaction was captured in a brief exclaimation:
“Christ! Oh, f****** hell!”
Amidst the unexpected turn of events, Johnson’s children could be heard laughing.
Carrie Johnson accompanied the video with the caption: “Too funny not to share.”
The humorous nature of the encounter resonated with viewers online. As one commenter noted:
- “Boris’s reaction is sooooo British.”
Since his resignation as prime minister in 2022, following a period marked by controversy, Johnson has largely avoided public attention.
