Florida ICE arrests nearly 800

Nearly 800 illegal aliens arrested in massive Florida ICE operation: 'Tidal Wave' Immigration

A significant enforcement operation, dubbed Operation Tidal Wave, has resulted in the arrest of nearly 800 individuals residing unlawfully in the United States across Florida. The collaborative effort between U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Miami and various state law enforcement agencies is ongoing.

Details released regarding some arrests reveal a range of serious criminal histories among those apprehended. These include:

  • Jose Sanchez Reyes, a Colombian national convicted of homicide in his home country, who entered the U.S. as an accomplice.
  • Alleged members of transnational criminal organizations like MS-13 and the 18th Street gang.
  • Savva Klishchevskii, a Russian citizen with an Interpol Red Notice issued by Russia for vehicular manslaughter.
  • Rafael Juarex Cabrera, a Guatemalan national previously convicted of felony reentry after illegally returning to the U.S. three times.
  • Aron Isaak Morazan-Izaguirre, a Honduran national suspected of ties to terrorism and allegedly having reentered the U.S. unlawfully on two occasions while affiliated with the 18th Street gang.

Customs and Border Protection (CBP) provided substantial assistance during Operation Tidal Wave, which officials are describing as highly effective.

“We appreciate our [Department of Homeland Security] partner’s commitment to public safety,” ICE stated on X.

The operation coincides with a broader focus on immigration enforcement and aligns with President Donald Trump’s deportation priorities. Furthermore, recent events have highlighted alleged attempts by individuals within the judicial system to obstruct these efforts.

This week, two judges were arrested facing accusations of hindering ICE investigations. Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge Hannah Dugan is charged with obstruction of an official proceeding and concealing a person to prevent arrest. Separately, former Doña Ana County Magistrate Judge Joel Cano and his wife, Nancy Cano, have been accused of evidence tampering related to allegedly harboring Cristhian Ortega-Lopez, a member of Venezuela’s Tren de Aragua gang.
