Bond Sues Accuser

Isaiah Bond, the University of Texas wide receiver facing a sexual assault warrant, has initiated legal action against his accuser. Just days before he is anticipated to be drafted into the NFL, Bond filed a lawsuit in federal court asserting the allegations against him are false and driven by malicious intent.

After surrendering himself to authorities last week and posting a $25,000 bond, Bond vehemently denied the charges. His legal team, Nesenhoff & Miltenberg, LLP, shared a statement with all 32 NFL teams detailing their strategy.

“Earlier this evening, Isaiah’s attorneys filed a complaint in response to the baseless accusation of sexual assault and defamatory statements,” the letter stated.

The lawsuit alleges Bond was intentionally targeted by a woman eight years his senior who persistently pursued him with explicit images and videos, ultimately attempting to exploit him for financial gain. The statement emphasized that while young men should exercise caution when interacting online, Bond is entirely innocent and determined to clear his name.

“Unlike the false narrative being spread, the full truth will reveal a pattern of manipulation and exploitation,”

Bond himself addressed the situation on X (formerly Twitter), expressing his desire to defend himself and demonstrate the falsity of the claims.

“Regarding the accusation made against me, I would appreciate the time and opportunity to defend myself and prove the claims are patently false,”

He affirmed his cooperation with law enforcement and urged restraint in judgment until a complete report based on evidence is available.

Bond’s performance this past season at Texas was crucial after key players Xavier Worthy and Adonai Mitchell moved on to the NFL. He recorded 34 receptions for 540 yards and five touchdowns, solidifying his position as a potential Day 2 draft pick. Prior to transferring to Texas, Bond played two seasons with Alabama, where he famously caught a crucial fourth-down touchdown pass against Auburn in the Iron Bowl.
