Trump wants more daylight

Former President Donald Trump has entered the conversation surrounding Daylight Saving Time, suggesting lawmakers should enact legislation to make it a year-round standard.

In a post on Truth Social Friday morning, he stated, “The House and Senate should push hard for more Daylight at the end of a day. Very popular and, most importantly, no more changing of the clocks, a big inconvenience and, for our government, A VERY COSTLY EVENT!!!”

The issue of shifting between Daylight Saving Time and Standard time was recently discussed during a Senate hearing held Thursday.

  • Senators explored potential solutions to the biannual clock adjustments.
  • The debate centered on minimizing disruption and associated expenses.

This is an ongoing situation, and further developments are expected.
