Roman Reigns has indicated a shift in his wrestling career is approaching, suggesting a transition towards less physically demanding roles within entertainment may be on the horizon.
In a recent interview with *Vanity Fair*, the WWE star revealed he anticipates roughly one to two years remaining in his current full-time schedule after his existing contract concludes following WrestleMania 42. This marks a potential turning point after five years of Reigns consistently requiring audiences in every city he visits to acknowledge his dominance and status.
“After I finish the contract that I’m in, we probably got another year or two max,” Reigns stated. “Then it’s time to take on a less physical form of entertainment.”
His longtime manager, Paul Heyman, elaborated on this trajectory, confirming that exploring opportunities within Hollywood has long been part of the plan for Reigns – but at the opportune moment.
“I would also suggest…that a lot of people are missing part of the story, which is this is nothing new,” Heyman explained. “Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman have been offered roles, projects, films, TV series for the past several years.” He added that numerous Hollywood producers have sought meetings to discuss potential collaborations, often involving substantial studio budgets significantly exceeding $1-2 million – commitments they’ve thus far declined due to scheduling constraints imposed by their WWE obligations.
Reigns has already begun venturing into acting, with appearances in films like “Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw,” “The Wrong Missy,” “Rumble,” and an upcoming role alongside Eddie Murphy in “The Pickup.”
As Heyman clarified, “So, Roman saying that this is a consideration of his and that it is something that he would like to exploit is nothing new…he doesn’t have the time and the amount of time in a block to pursue such goals.” He anticipates Reigns will seek to incorporate these opportunities into future contracts.
The atmosphere surrounding WrestleMania 41, held at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, has been electric, marking a significant moment for WWE fans.
Heyman himself will be actively involved in the festivities, participating in the Roast of WrestleMania featuring Tony Hinchcliffe following the second night’s events at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas.
