“At 7:35 AM this morning, His Holiness, Pope Francis, peacefully returned to his eternal home,” stated Cardinal Farrell. “Throughout his life, he was wholly committed to serving God and the Catholic Church.”
The announcement further emphasized the pontiff’s teachings: “He instilled within us a steadfast commitment to the principles of the Gospel – one characterized by bravery and boundless compassion, particularly directed towards those who are most vulnerable and overlooked.”
Cardinal Farrell concluded with these words: “We express profound thanks for his inspiring leadership as a devoted follower of Jesus Christ. We now entrust the soul of Pope Francis to the limitless mercy of God—the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.”
