Jiggly Caliente, the beloved drag performer who rose to prominence on “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” has passed away at the age of 44. Her death occurred just days after a significant health crisis led to the amputation of her right leg.

The family announced Bianca Castro-Arabejo’s passing—Bianca was Jiggly Caliente’s given name—on Instagram Sunday, sharing that she died peacefully on April 27, 2025, at 4:42 am. She was surrounded by her loved ones.

“It is with immense sadness that we share the news of Bianca Castro-Arabejo’s passing, known and adored by so many as Jiggly Caliente,” a statement from her family read. “Jiggly was a radiant force in entertainment and advocacy, celebrated for her vibrant spirit, sharp humor, and genuine self.”

The statement continued, highlighting the profound impact she had on others:

“She touched countless lives through her artistry, activism, and the authentic connections she forged with fans worldwide. Her legacy embodies love, bravery, and light—a presence that will endure.”

Prior to her death, the family revealed Bianca had faced a severe health challenge, requiring hospitalization and ultimately resulting in the loss of most of her right leg due to a serious infection.

“Over the past month, Bianca has experienced a deeply concerning setback,” they wrote. “Due to a severe infection, she was hospitalized and underwent the amputation of most of her right leg.”

This health crisis unfortunately meant that Jiggly would not be participating in the upcoming season of “RuPaul’s Drag Race Philippines” or any other public appearances.

Jiggly Caliente first captivated audiences as a contestant on “RuPaul’s Drag Race” Season 4 in 2011. From 2022 onward, she served as a judge on “Drag Race Philippines” for three consecutive seasons.

Beyond “Drag Race,” the performer from the Philippines graced numerous television screens, including appearances on FX’s “Pose,” “Search Party,” and “Saturday Night Live.”

Her family emphasized that she will be profoundly missed, forever loved, and eternally remembered.
