Harry Provokes William

Prince Harry’s recent unexpected trip to Ukraine has reportedly sparked considerable tension within the royal family, according to one media commentator.

Charlotte Griffiths, Editor-at-Large for the Mail on Sunday, suggested during an interview with GB News that the Duke of Sussex may have intentionally orchestrated the visit to deliberately provoke his brother, Prince William.

“It’s entirely plausible that Harry planned this specifically to frustrate William,” Griffiths stated. “The perception that Harry has consistently received preferential treatment – despite complaints about being labelled ‘the spare’ – is a long-standing source of irritation for William.” She cited examples like Harry’s allowance of facial hair on his wedding day, something Prince William was denied, as evidence of this perceived disparity.

Sources close to the Prince of Wales indicate that he had “hoped” to visit Ukraine himself but has been repeatedly turned down due to security concerns. Instead, he undertook a trip to Estonia.

* William’s desire to travel to Ukraine highlights the frustration surrounding his inability to do so.
* Security officials have reportedly “firmly rejected” the possibility of a Prince William visit given the ongoing conflict.

During his time in Lviv last Thursday, Harry visited the Superhumans Centre, an organization providing critical support to those impacted by the war.

He interacted with both adults and children who have sustained injuries since the invasion began in February 2022, accompanied by members of the Invictus Games community. The centre offers comprehensive support to injured soldiers, civilians, and children affected by the conflict.

Harry’s Ukrainian visit occurred shortly after his appearance at London’s High Court, where he argued for enhanced security measures, including taxpayer-funded protection, before being permitted to visit Britain. This situation has drawn criticism, with some observers pointing out what they perceive as a contradiction between his actions in Ukraine and his demands for increased safety protocols within the UK.

“It certainly appears deliberate,” Griffiths concluded. “I cannot see any other explanation.”
