The desperate search for 11-year-old Kaliyah Coa has concluded with the tragic discovery of a body in the River Thames, according to authorities.
Kaliyah vanished on March 31st while playing near the river. Today, the Metropolitan Police conveyed the devastating news to her family: a body has been recovered during the ongoing search efforts.
Witnesses last observed Kaliyah and a friend in the water close to Barge House Causeway, an area situated near London City Airport in southeast London.
“This is a deeply upsetting time for everyone involved,” stated a police spokesperson. “Our thoughts are with Kaliyah’s family and friends as they grieve this loss.”
