Following recent devastating attacks in Pahalgam that claimed the lives of twenty-six individuals, Mohan Bhagwat, head of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), addressed the nation with a nuanced statement on India’s core principles.
Bhagwat emphasized that non-violence remains deeply ingrained in India’s cultural and spiritual fabric. “It is the essence of our faith, the bedrock of our national identity,” he asserted.
However, his remarks also conveyed a firm resolve to confront those who perpetrate violence. He stated that alongside this commitment to peace, it is equally vital for India to demonstrate strength and deliver justice against aggressors and those engaging in disruptive behavior.
