Stop Brexit Man Acquitted

A prominent political protester, widely recognized as Stop Brexit Man, has been acquitted of violating a police restriction after performing music critical of the Conservative party and Brexit near the Houses of Parliament.

Steve Bray, aged 56, was playing his selection of songs on March 20th, 2024, coinciding with the arrival of then-Prime Minister Rishi Sunak for Prime Minister’s Questions.

The verdict came from Westminster Magistrates’ Court, where Bray was charged with failing to adhere to a directive outlined in the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act of 2011 concerning restricted activities within Parliament Square.

As stated by the court:

“Mr. Bray has been found not guilty.”
