A preview clip released on social media has revealed the explosive confrontation that led to Mickey Rourke’s disqualification from Celebrity Big Brother.
The 72-year-old actor was removed from the competition following a series of incidents, including a previous warning last week related to inappropriate remarks directed at fellow housemate JoJo Siwa. The news of his dismissal became public on Saturday evening.
The dispute appears to have originated during a pirate-themed challenge orchestrated by Big Brother. As highlighted in the show’s Instagram preview, the task involved contestants assuming the roles of a ship’s crew and navigating various challenges.
As explained by Big Brother:
“This week’s Shopping Task will see you sail the seven seas as the crew of Big Brother’s very own ship.”
The task assigned JoJo Siwa the role of captain, prompting a reaction from Rourke.
Later in the clip, Siwa remarked, “Ladies, I feel like it’s gonna be a good day,” before the situation escalated. A portion of the challenge required Trisha Goddard and Danny Beard to reveal honest accounts about their housemates, who were observing from another room.
Big Brother instructed:
“This is Big Brother, before you lie five cursed treasure chests – to unlock them, a true pirate must bare their soul by revealing raw and honest truths about their fellow shipmates.”
The tension mounted when Goddard informed Siwa, “There is a rat amongst us, captain,” prompting Chris Hughes’ gaze to fall on Rourke. Hughes was seen whispering, seemingly asking for support.
Siwa attempted to de-escalate the situation with a playful greeting: “Mickey! Ahoy.” However, Rourke confronted Hughes, questioning him directly.
Siwa responded, “Ahoy, you’re not the captain of this ship, Mickey!” Beard added, attempting to diffuse the situation by explaining that it was intended as a joke.
While Siwa guided Rourke away, he launched into a tirade, yelling, “Don’t eyeball me!” before returning to Hughes’ location. The situation rapidly deteriorated when Rourke unleashed a barrage of expletives, prompting Siwa’s intervention: “Woah, woah, woah, woah.”
Hughes retorted, demanding Rourke remain in place. Rourke responded with fury, asking “What did you say?”
Beard stepped between the two contestants and pleaded, “No please, he was joking – please.”
Rourke continued his angry outburst: “What are you going to do, you c***?” before Big Brother intervened.
With a firm tone, Big Brother instructed, “Mickey, come to the Diary Room immediately.”
