Ben Leo, a presenter on GB News, began his broadcast with an unexpected apology, addressing a noticeable change in his vocal quality.
Viewers may have observed a slightly altered timbre as Ben greeted them at the start of the show. He clarified that a recent social outing was not responsible for this alteration.
As he stated, “Apologies for my rather raspy voice.”
He continued, “I enjoyed a drink with Bev Turner and Alex Armstrong last night; however, this is entirely unrelated to what’s happening. Around 10 pm yesterday evening, my voice unexpectedly began to change.”
The presenter shared a photograph from the gathering on Instagram, featuring himself alongside colleagues Bev Turner, Alex Armstrong, and Head of Programming Ben Briscoe.
Beyond his professional commitments, Leo spent time with his family at his son’s tennis tournament. He recounted an amusing exchange overheard by his wife:
“I took my son to his second tennis tournament yesterday, and apparently, another parent described me as a ‘helicopter parent’ while I was watching him play.”
He elaborated, “I was simply checking in on him—he’s only five!”
